2011 September 8 - Morning Manna

"For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace"(Isaiah 9:6)

Today's Morsel:  There seems to be no end to the political battle in the world today.  There seems to be unrest on every front. Demonstrations, riots, job loss, fear, earthquakes, wars and rumors of wars.  Everyone who is running for office says that they have the right answer to fix the problem.  But Paul said,  "But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived"(2 Timothy 3:13).  The problem with our world is that we've taken our trust off God and placed it on man.  Scripture says, "And the government shall be upon His (Jesus) shoulder." The world is too big for any man to carry.  Even our burdens are too hard to carry.  The Lord told us to cast them upon Him.  So until mankind places the government back to where it is suppose to be, upon His shoulder,  not only is the economy going to be bad, but the whole world.  Pray for your nation and leaders.

Sing:  Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand; but I know who holds tomorrow, and I know who holds my hand.
