Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 6 April 2020

Time
Wherefore he saith, Awake thou that sleepest, and arise from the dead, and Christ shall give thee light. See then that ye walk circumspectly, not as fools, but as wise, Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.”
(Ephesians 5:14-16)

Today’s Morsel: Someone said that we all are given the same amount of time each day.  No matter a person's age, race, country, status, or national origin, God gives to us all twenty-four hours or 1440 minutes each day.  And yet some folks say that they don’t have time for church, fellowship, vacation, or time to spend with their family.  How is it that one can and another can’t?  If we work 8 hours a day, sleep 8 hours a day, what are we doing with the other 8 hours in the day?  Do we have a problem with time management?  Or have we allowed the devil to put us in a place that we are slaving for him instead of God.  Time is more valuable than money because time is irreplaceable.  And the quicker we figure it out the better off we will be.  Paul said that we need to redeem the time because the days are evil. Knowing this, how much of your time are you using to prepare yourself against the evils that will come?  How much of your time are you using to prepare yourself for eternity?  Eternity is coming you know!

Sing:  Time is filled with swift transition, naught of earth unmoved can stand.  Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand.
Hold to God’s unchanging hand!  Hold to God’s unchanging hand!  Build your hopes on things eternal.  Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Thought For Today: Time is more valuable then money, because time is irreplaceable.
