Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 June 3

“LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me” (Psalms 3:1).

Today’s Morsel:  In today’s world of political correctness, uncommitted saints, telemarketers, instantaneous gratification, maladies, indebtedness and worldly unrest, many people are fearful and troubled.  Some of them are so troubled that they can’t sleep.  Many of them have gone into a state of depression because their elected officials didn’t win.  If the world has you troubled, you have forgotten that this is not your home.  You must realize that in this world you shall have tribulations.  But we are not of this world.  Therefore, what is taking place in this world should not trouble you.  Solomon said, “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths” (Proverbs 3:5-6).  If this world is troubling you, you’re on the wrong path and you may have lost your focus.

Sing:  This world is not my home, I’m just a passing through, my treasures are laid up somewhere beyond the blue, the angels are beckoning me, from heaven’s open door and I can’t feel at home in this world anymore.

Thought For Today:  Stay focused!
