“But in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work”

Today’s Morsel: On this day in 1920, the New York Yankees major league baseball club announces its purchase of the heavy-hitting outfielder George Herman “Babe” Ruth from the Boston Red Sox for the sum of $125,000. Babe Ruth would go on to hit 714 home runs and Yankee stadium would go on to be known as, “The House that Ruth Built.” Paul said that in a great house there are not only vessels of gold and of silver, but also of wood and of earth; and some to honour, and some to dishonour. If a man therefore purge himself from these, he shall be a vessel unto honour, sanctified, and meet for the master's use, and prepared unto every good work. In Jesus house, we are to be vessels of honor and meet for His use. It all starts with us purging ourselves from all filth of the flesh and spirit and perfecting holiness unto the Lord.
Sing: Jesus, use me; Oh Lord don’t refuse me, for surely there’s a work that I can do; and even though it’s humble, Lord help my will to crumble, though the cost be great I’ll work for You.
