2010 April 29 - Morning Manna

Evil pursueth sinners: but to the righteous good shall be repayed (Proverbs 13:21).

Today’s Morsel: Blood hounds are trained for one purpose, to follow scents. No matter if it is a person or an animal, once the blood hounds have the scent in their nose, and can pick up on that scent, they will follow it until they locate what they are looking for. Evil is like a blood hound, and the scent it looks and smell for is sin. That’s why evil is always associated with sin. If you are one that practices sin, or is associate with those who are sinners, evil will find you. Paul told the church at Philippi “Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision” (Philippians 3:2). Notice, beware of dogs. Satan has turned his pack of hounds loose and they are looking and scenting for anyone that isn’t covered by the blood of Jesus. The only way a person who is trying to get free and away from the evil that is pursuing them, is to run to the water and get baptized in Jesus name; Jesus only gives off a sweet smelling odor. Once you have been baptized in His name and you put Him on, Satan loses your scent and will stop looking for you if you stay holy and under the blood of Jesus.

Sing: I am covered, covered, covered by His blood. Walking by faith, living in love; I am covered, covered, covered by His blood, Jesus has rescued me.
