The Power of The Gospel

Now I would not have you ignorant, brethren, that oftentimes I purposed to come unto you, (but was let hitherto,) that I might have some fruit among you also, even as among other Gentiles. I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. For therein is the righteousness of God revealed from faith to faith: as it is written, The just shall live by faith.(Romans 1:13-17)

Today’s Morsel:  There has never been anything that can change a person’s life like the power of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  Just think of the number of people that you may know who were alcoholics, drug abusers, drug dealers, abusive spouses, those with broken marriages, suicidal, those trying to change their sexual identity, liars, thieves, and so much more, who came in contact with Jesus Christ through the gospel, they accepted what they heard, were baptized in Jesus name, received the baptism of the Holy Ghost and their entire lives have been changed for the better.  It is as if they did a 180-degree turn around just by hearing about Jesus.  Paul wrote that he was not ashamed of the gospel of Christ because it was the power of God unto salvation to everyone that believed.  A person's life can be turned upside down, but if they will accept the gospel, their life can be made whole and new.

Sing: In this house, there is hope, in this house, there’s salvation for your soul.  In this house, your life can be made whole, everything you need is in this house.

Thought For Today:  Don’t ever be ashamed to share the gospel.
