Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 4 September 2019

Attitude

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD, my strength, and my redeemer.”
(Psalms 19:14)

Today’s Morsel:  Someone said that Jesus taught the beatitudes to teach us how to adjust our attitudes. Attitude deals with our way of thinking or feeling about someone or something.  It is also reflected in our behavior and the behavior of others.  If someone is rebellious, we may say that they have a negative or bad attitude.  If someone is cheerful and upbeat, we may say that they have a positive or good attitude.  And Akimbo is seen as an attitude of pride.  Our attitudes say a lot about who we are.  If we say that we are Christians, then our attitude should reflect that meaning.

Sing:  Smile awhile and give your face a rest, raise your hands to the One you love the best.  Turn around to someone new, shake their hand and smile.

Thought For Today: Akimbo is an attitude of pride.
