Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 6 May 2019

How To Stand In Adversity
“If thou faint in the day of adversity, thy strength is small.”
(Proverbs 24:10)

Today’s Morsel:  One of the warnings we receive from the word of God is that there will be afflictions, adversity, trials, troubles, persecutions, and even death in this Christian war.  Paul tells us to put on the whole armor of God so that we can stand against the wiles of the devil (Ephesians 6:10-18).  If we are to stand and not faint, then we must learn how to stand.  To stand against something is not to wait for it to come before we must deal with it.  In order to stand, you must prepare for it before it comes.  We must take heed to the word of God and stay committed to its leading.  Always remember, prior proper planning always prevents poor performance.  Take a strong stand before the adversity and troubles come, and you will be able to make it through them.

Sing: Hold to God’s unchanging hand.  Hold to God’s unchanging hand. Build your hopes on things eternal, hold to God’s unchanging hand.

Thought For Today: Prior proper planning always prevents poor performance.
