Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 March 28

“And ye murmured in your tents, and said, Because the LORD hated us, he hath brought us forth out of the land of Egypt, to deliver us into the hand of the Amorites, to destroy us. Whither shall we go up? our brethren have discouraged our heart, saying, The people is greater and taller than we; the cities are great and walled up to heaven; and moreover we have seen the sons of the Anakims there. Then I said unto you, Dread not, neither be afraid of them. The LORD your God which goeth before you, he shall fight for you, according to all that he did for you in Egypt before your eyes; And in the wilderness, where thou hast seen how that the LORD thy God bare thee, as a man doth bear his son, in all the way that ye went, until ye came into this place. Yet in this thing ye did not believe the LORD your God, Who went in the way before you, to search you out a place to pitch your tents in, in fire by night, to shew you by what way ye should go, and in a cloud by day” (Deuteronomy 1:27-33).

Today’s Morsel:  One of the things we find with media today, is that we no longer know what to believe.  There is so much deception and false accusation that it seems everyone is putting up their guard to prevent being lied to. I’m thankful that the apostle John saw to the need to write and admonish us, “Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world” (1 John 4:1).  One of the major goals of the enemy is to get you to not believe what God said in His word.  If we are not careful, we can believe a lie and condemn ourselves.  Moses told the children of Israel that they had seen everything that the Lord had done for them, and yet they still did not believe the Lord who went before them to show them the way.  Friend the Bible is true whether some want to believe it or not; and God’s promise does not change.  Let God be true and every man a liar.

Sing:  Whose report will you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord. Whose report will you believe? We shall believe the report of the Lord.  His report says I am healed, His report say I am filled, His report says I am free, His report says victory.

Thought For Today:  “Believe in the Lord your God, so shall ye be established; believe in His prophets, so shall ye prosper” (King Jehoshaphat).
