2015 December 12 - Morning Manna

There is no fear in love; but perfect love casteth out fear: because fear hath torment. He that feareth is not made perfect in love. We love him, because he first loved us. If a man say, I love God, and hateth his brother, he is a liar: for he that loveth not his brother whom he hath seen, how can he love God whom he hath not seen? And this commandment have we from him, That he who loveth God love his brother also. (1 John 4:18-21)

Today's Morsel One of the greatest weapons of the enemy of your soul is that of inflicting fear.  Satan knows that if he can cause you to fear, then he will defeat you.  Or should I say, he will cause you to defeat yourself.  One of the greatest methods the enemy uses against his foes is psychological warfare.  He plays on your mind.  This is what we see Satan using today, psychological warfare.  He's playing on people's minds.  You go to the doctor with a pain and they tell you that you have some disease that you've never heard of before.  The word that they use is so confusing that you have to go home to look it up to see what it means.  You hear of movements that are radical.  Laws that were once considered sacred are now considered outdated and old fashioned.  You see, if Satan can get you to focus on what is going on around you, and what he is doing, then he knows you will take your eyes off Jesus and put them upon him.  John cautions us that there is no fear in love, because God is love.  If you keep your mind stayed on Jesus, you won't have to worry about becoming fearful nor will Satan be able to confuse you with thoughts of fear.

Sing: Turn your eyes upon Jesus, look full in His wonderful face, and the things of this earth will go strangely dim in the light of His glory and grace.

Thought for Today. Fret not little flock, it's your fathers good pleasure to give you the kingdom (Jesus).
