2015 July 17 - Morning Manna

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints; And for me, that utterance may be given unto me, that I may open my mouth boldly, to make known the mystery of the gospel, For which I am an ambassador in bonds: that therein I may speak boldly, as I ought to speak. (Ephesians 6:10-20)

Today's Morsel: When I was in the military, I didn't care too much for the peace time army.  I didn't care to be in the rear when everyone else was down range fighting.  I wanted to be where the action was. You see, soldiers train to go to war and to protect and defend their country. They don't care too much about sitting around and doing nothing.  They want to put their training into action. They want to destroy their enemies. I know that may sound morbid, but that's what they train for. If the church would get this mind set and get into the fight, we could take the land. Many Christian soldiers are like the children of Israel and they have hung their harps on the willow (Psalms 137:1-4), they don't want to fight.  This is a warfare. And every Sunday you sit in church it is to prepare you for battle.  If you leave church every Sunday without a challenge to save the lost, pretty soon you won't see the need for your armor. You don't see soldiers who are on the front line of battle not wearing armor.  Church is to prepare you fight. We can either take the fight to the enemy or he's going to bring it to us. I choose to take it to him. What about you. Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.  If you aren't willing to fight for right, you will die for wrong!

Sing: Let God arise and His enemies be scattered; Let God arise and His enemies be scattered; Let God arise and His enemies be scattered, Let God! Let God ! Arise.

Thought for Today: If you aren't willing to fight for right you will die for wrong! (Parker)
