2015 April 17 - Morning Manna

Therefore seeing we have this ministry, as we have received mercy, we faint not; But have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully; but by manifestation of the truth commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. (2 Corinthians 4:1-4)

Today's Morsel: It has been stated that many people can't sleep at night because they are carrying around within themselves a hidden truth.  They are aware of crimes that were committed and who did them, wrongs that others have done to others or themselves, of people on the lam who have escaped from jail or prison, or evils that are taking place; yet they are afraid to come forth with the truth due to fear.  And so they live their lives in torment, pain, panic, and even sleeplessness.  This is how it is with the gospel.  Many people know its truth, but yet they hold it within because of fear.  They know that it can set others free, but yet they refuse to come forth and share it.  And so they live their lives in torment, restlessness, and they are afraid that someone will find out that they know the truth and will call them a Christian.  Paul said that if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost.  People are serving time for crimes that they did not do, because someone with the truth, some who knows the truth, will not come forth to set them free.  People are serving time in Satan's jail cells because people who know the truth won't come forth to set them free.  Remember, if the truth can make one free, shouldn't we desire to make everyone free.  If Jesus Christ made you free, shouldn't you desire to make someone else free. Freely you have received, freely give.

Sing: He set me free, yes, He set me free, He broke the bars of prison for me, I'm glory bound my Jesus to see, glory to God, He set me free.

Thought for Today:  Am I hiding the truth?
