2014 July 14 - Morning Manna

Thus saith the LORD, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the LORD which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the LORD. (Jeremiah 9:23-24)

Today's Morsel: How do you feel when someone takes the credit for the work that you've done?  Do you ever hear people call the church they attend, my church?  We often do glory in the things that we think that we do, but Jesus said that without Him we could do nothing.  So, since the church is His, and everything that we do is allowed by Him, shouldn't we give Him glory for the things that He has done and not we ourselves?  When we truly know Him, we will give Him the glory due His name.

Sing: To God be the glory! To God be the glory, for the things He has done.
