2013 December 19 - Morning Manna

Let no man despise thy youth; but be thou an example of the believers, in word, in conversation, in charity, in spirit, in faith, in purity (1Timothy 4:12).

Today’s Morsel:  Someone said that the reason morality is on such a huge decline in every country is because the people are electing and appointing men and women to leadership positions who have no character.  One writer said, "The only thing the mourners will take away with them of you from your grave when you die is your character."  They can bury you, but they can’t bury your character.  Who you are/were and how you lived your life will always be around.  What are people going to say about you when you die?  How is your character today?  Do you conduct self  examinations to ensure your character isn’t being tarnished?  Paul told Timothy to be an example setter because he knew that being a Christian carries a big price tag.  Jesus was the greatest example of character that ever lived.  Paul wrote, "Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ" (1 Corinthians 11:1).  Is Jesus your  example today?  If so, then allow His character to flow into you and you will leave a great legacy for others to  follow and talk about after you are gone.

Sing:  The greatest thing in all my life, is knowing You. The greatest thing in all my life, is knowing You. I want to know You more, I want to know You more, The greatest thing in all my life, is knowing You.
