2013 December 10 - Morning Manna

There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death (Proverbs 14:12).

Today’s Morsel: Have you ever been on a journey and you said to yourself "I know that this is the right way," only to find out that you were heading in the wrong direction?  There are many roads that may lead to where you are heading but they may be filled with pitfalls and snares.  David asked the Lord, Shew me thou way, Lord teach me thou path (Psalms 25:3).  He knew that as long as God was leading and directing, then all would be okay.  Do you ask the Lord to show you the way?  Thomas did.  And Jesus told him, “I am the way” (John 14:6) and “Follow me” (Matthew 4:19). If we follow Jesus, we will always be in the right way even though it may seem to us that we are heading in the wrong direction.  His ways are not our ways, and neither is His thoughts our thought.  Jesus knows where the pitfalls and snares are located, so we must allow Him to lead us, because some ways may lead to eternal death.

Sing: God leads His dear children along. Some thru the water, some thru the flood, some thru the fire, but all thru the blood; some thru great sorrow, but God gives a song, in the night season, and all the day long.
