2013 May 20 - Morning Manna

"Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding. Exalt her, and she shall promote thee: she shall bring thee to honour, when thou dost embrace her. She shall give to thine head an ornament of grace: a crown of glory shall she deliver to thee"
(Proverbs 4:7-9)

Today's Morsel: Someone once asked, "How do you get wisdom?" And the reply was, "Don't do what you see other people doing that is wrong and what gets them into trouble." In other words, learn from other's mistakes. But today, so many people seem to be void of wisdom. They keep doing the same wrong things over and over again. You ask some people why they did what they did to get them into trouble and they have no idea. You ask some people why they married the person they married and they have no idea. Solomon said that we need to get wisdom. And not only that, but we need to get an understanding to go along with it. You can have all the education in the world, but there is nothing worse than being an educated fool. Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom. Wisdom, when used right, will promote and bring you honor; but foolishness will destroy you.
Sing: Deeper, deeper in the love of Jesus daily let me go; Higher, higher in the school of wisdom, more of grace to know.
O' deeper yet, I pray, and higher every day, and wiser, blessed Lord, in Thy precious holy word.
