2012 March 12 - Morning Manna

Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might. Put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil. For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places. Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand. Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the breastplate of righteousness; And your feet shod with the preparation of the gospel of peace; Above all, taking the shield of faith, wherewith ye shall be able to quench all the fiery darts of the wicked. And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God: Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints (Ephesians 6:10-18).

Today's Morsel: The U.S. Military has spent much on insuring that its soldiers have the right equipment to protect them in times of war. They know that warfare is nasty business. Lives are lost and people get hurt. The enemy isn’t about to take it easy on on them. Therefore, much is spent to ensure that the soldier is well equipped and prepare for battle. They know that the right equipment can help save a soldier'slife. Knowing this, the apostle Paul tell the Christian soldier to put on the whole armor of God that they, too, can stand against the tricks, schemes, and fiery dart of the devil. Our Commander in Chief, Jesus, wants us to be protected. He has provided us with the best equipment to protect us, so don’t take these pieces of armor lightly. Put them on, keep them on, and use them to fight the battle. They are designed to protect your soul. Are you equiped? Are you ready for battle? Can you endure hardness as a good soldier of the Lord.

Sing: For above all else, I must be saved; for above all else, I must be saved; Lord, whatever you have to do to me, don’t let me be lost for eternity; for above all else, I must be saved.
