2010 August 23 - Morning Manna

Thou art good, and doest good; teach me thy statutes.  (Psalms 119:68)

Today's Morsel: Have you ever stopped to ponder why the psalmist always commented that the Lord is good? What did He do for David that he constantly says, the Lord is good? Well, He chose Him to be king over His people. He delivered him from the hand of his foes. He fed him when he was hungry. He armed him when he needed a weapon. He sheltered him when he needed a place from the storm. He made known to him his salvation. Whatever David needed, God provided. And when David sinned, God told him he didn't have to do it, all he had to do was ask if what he had was too little (My wording). Are you aware that you are no different than David? What God did for David, He will do for you as well. Goodness and mercy are always at your finger tips. You don't have to sin to get what you want. You don't even have to take matters into your own hands. Jesus said, we have not because we ask not. I believe that God will provide anything we ask of Him as long as it's isn't for something to hurt other with, or something to be consumed upon our lust. The reason Jesus is good and does good is because He cannot change who He is!

Sing: Lord you are good and your mercy endureth forever. Lord you are good and your mercy endureth forever. People from every nation and tongue, from generation to generation! We worship you, Hallelujah! Hallelujah! We worship you, for who you are. You are good, all the time, all the time, you are good. You are good, all the time, all the time, you are good.
