2015 November 16 - Morning Manna

When wisdom entereth into thine heart, and knowledge is pleasant unto thy soul; Discretion shall preserve thee, understanding shall keep thee"
(Proverbs 2:10-11).

Today's Morsel: I don't know about you, but it seems that a lot of people do not have any discretion when it comes to life.  Solomon tells us how to have discretion.  He said when we put wisdom in our hearts and knowledge in our souls, then discretion will be there to keep us.  In other words, we will be able to discern right from wrong, good from evil, truth from err, and love from hate.  One of the indicators of a lack of spiritual maturity is seen in the life of a person without discretion.  A good indication of spiritual malnutrition, is also a lack of discretion.  Discretion is a preservative, it will maintain us.

Sing: "Come and dine", the Master calleth, "Come and dine!" You may feast at Jesus table all the time. He who fed the multitude, turned the water into wine, to the hungry calleth now,  "Come and dine!"

Thought for Today:  A good indication of spiritual malnutrition, is a lack of discretion (Parker).
