2011 January 24 - Morning Manna

And he said unto them,  Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover. (Mark 16:15-18).

Today's Morsel:  There is nothing like hearing the Gospel preached in spirit and in truth.  The Gospel is the power of God unto salvation. This Gospel of Jesus Christ sets the captives free, breaks chains that have people bound, mends broken hearts, and saves people from their trespasses and sins.  When people really apply this Gospel to their lives, it makes a difference.  When there is a complete understanding of  what the Gospel is,  it gives knowledge on how one should live, move, and exist.  No Christian should ever have a dull and boring lifestyle.  I don't care how we feel or how much pain is in our body, there should still be joy unspeakable and full of glory in  our life.  When  people stop serving God, leave the church, and head back into the world, it's because they don't have an understanding of the Gospel.  The Gospel is the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ. And when people don't understand why Jesus did what He did for them, there is no love for Him.  Paul said that the love of God constraineth us.....that if one died for all, then were all dead (2 Corinthians 5:14).  We were all dead in our sins, but Jesus gave His life so that we could live.  He became our offering for sin and if that isn't worth telling others about, then what is?

Sing:  Jesus paid it all, all to Him I owe, sin had left a crimson stain, but He washed me white as snow.
