I Thank God
“I thank my God, making mention of thee always in my prayers,” (Philemon 1:4)
Today’s Morsel: If you were praying and you had a list of all the people in the world that God has placed in your pathway, and that He has given you an opportunity to interact with, how long do you think you would be praying for them and giving God thanks? I know for me, there has been so many wonderful people that He has brought into my life to help me along the way, and in so many ways changed me for the better. The list would be long, let me tell you! Let me encourage you, the next time you are just sitting and reminiscing on the past, why not start thanking God for the people that He has placed in your path over the years. Yes, some of them you could care less about, but even those, God may have used to teach us things we ought not to do, and for that we can be thankful. Paul seemed to be a man with a heart of gratitude. He even mentioned those who caused him hardship and pain. But he concluded by thanking God for being with him through it all.
Sing: Wandering into the night, wanting a place to hide, this weary soul, this bag of bones. And I tried with all my mind, and I just can't win the fight, I'm slowly drifting, oh vagabond. And just when I ran out of road, I met a man I didn't know, and He told me that I was not alone.
He picked me up, He turned me around, He placed my feet on solid ground, I thank the Master, I thank the Savior, because He healed my heart, He changed my name, forever free, I’m not the same, I thank the Master, I thank the Savior, I thank God.
