Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 4 February 2019

Lovingkindness

O continue thy lovingkindness unto them that know thee; and thy righteousness to the upright in heart” (Psalms 36:10).

Today’s Morsel:  Lovingkindness is to be gracious and merciful.  The psalmist prayed that God would continue His lovingkindness to them that know Him.  Do you know Him?  Who do you say that I am, Jesus asked?  What is His name?  And what is His Son’s name if thou canst tell?  If we say that we know Him, should we not love Him and serve Him?  If we say that we know Him, should we not be able to witness for Him and about Him?  Right knowledge of God is the source of right affections and conduct.  His lovingkindness will continue to them that know Him and His righteousness to them that are upright in heart.

Sing:  Thy lovingkindness is better than life.  Thy lovingkindness is better than life.  My lips shall praise Thee, thus will I bless Thee, I will lift up my hands unto Thy name.
