2015 March 10 - Morning Manna

Now the serpent was more subtil than any beast of the field which the LORD God had made. And he said unto the woman, Yea, hath God said, Ye shall not eat of every tree of the garden? And the woman said unto the serpent, We may eat of the fruit of the trees of the garden: But of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden, God hath said, Ye shall not eat of it, neither shall ye touch it, lest ye die. And the serpent said unto the woman, Ye shall not surely die: For God doth know that in the day ye eat thereof, then your eyes shall be opened, and ye shall be as gods, knowing good and evil. And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and that it was pleasant to the eyes, and a tree to be desired to make one wise, she took of the fruit thereof, and did eat, and gave also unto her husband with her; and he did eat. And the eyes of them both were opened, and they knew that they were naked; and they sewed fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons. And they heard the voice of the LORD God walking in the garden in the cool of the day: and Adam and his wife hid themselves from the presence of the LORD God amongst the trees of the garden. And the LORD God called unto Adam, and said unto him, Where art thou? (Genesis 3:1-9)

Today's Morsel:  As kids, we used to play the game "Hide and Seek" alot.  There was something about that game that really made it fun.   And even today, we see parents and grandparents playing it with their kids and grand kids.  I often wonder who came up with some of these games and how long they've been around.  We can see that "Hide and Seek" has been around since creation.  Adam and Eve hid themselves from God because they disobeyed Him and were afraid because they were naked.  How often do you seek for Him?  Daily, weekly, monthly, or yearly.  Just how often do you seek Him.  Jesus said that we can find him when we seek for Him with our whole heart.   If people keep hiding from Him, pretty soon  He's going to stop looking and they are really going to be lost.  Are you still playing "Hide and Seek" with Jesus because of your sin?  Well, why not stop hiding and let Jesus find you.  He already knows where you are anyhow.

Sing: Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound, That saved a wretch like me. I once was lost but now am found, I was blind, but now I see.

Thought for Today: Don't allow sin to keep you hiding from God.
