2011 April 30 - Morning Manna

And Simon and they that were with him followed after him. And when they had found him, they said unto him, All men seek for thee. (Mark 1:36-37)

Today's Morsel:  I don't hear children talking about the outside games that they play anymore.  I don't see kids playing Kick the Can, Red Rover, Simon Says, Hide and Seek, Stick Ball.  These outdoor games gave kids lots of exercise and kept them very active.  But now days, kids spent so much time indoors on computers and watching TV and playing the WII.   Often in scripture it seems as though Jesus was playing hide and seek with His disciples. He would hide Himself in the crowd, or He would show up and they would wonder how He got there.  There was something about Jesus that everyone was looking for Him. Even those that hated Him were looking for Him in hope to find fault against Him.  Peter and the other disciples told Him that all men were seeking for Him.  They said everyone is looking for you.  Are you one of those looking for Him?  He said that we can find Him when we seek for Him with our whole heart.  He also said that we should search the scriptures for they all testify of Him.  Paul said that He's not far from any of us.  Jesus even said, "Where two or three is gathered together in My name, there I AM in the midst of thee."  Scripture says, "And there were certain Greeks among them that came up to worship at the feast: The same came therefore to Philip, which was of Bethsaida of Galilee, and desired him, saying, Sir, we would see Jesus" (John 12:20-21).  Let me encourage you today, the next time you go to church, see if you can find Jesus.  If you can't, you may want to look elsewhere.

Sing:  I have found the way! I have found the way! O' Glory Hallelujah, I have found the way.
