Who Is
the King Of Glory?
The earth is the
LORD'S, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he
hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. Who shall
ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that
hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto
vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and
righteousness from the God of his salvation. This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy
face, O Jacob. Selah. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD
strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates;
even lift them up, ye
everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of
glory? The LORD of hosts, he is the
King of glory. Selah. (Psalms 24:1-10)
Today’s Morsel: One of the questions that Jesus asked His
disciples was, “Who do men say that I am?” He asked the religious
leaders, “Saying, What think ye
of Christ? whose son is he? They say unto him, The Son of
David. He saith unto them, How then doth David in spirit call him Lord, saying,
The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, till I make thine
enemies thy footstool? If David then call him Lord, how is he his son?” (Matthew 22:42-45) David asked the
question, “Who is the King of Glory?” The answer is in the latter part of the
stanza. “The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle.” Paul
said “That at the name of
Jesus every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in
earth, and things under the earth; And that every
tongue should confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory
of God the Father.” (Philippians
2:10-11) There is none other whereby we must be saved. Yet we must
know who He is for ourselves. Who do you say that He is?
Sing:
The Mighty God is Jesus; the Prince of Peace is He, The Everlasting father, the
King Eternally. The wonderful in wisdom, by whom all things are made, The
fullness of the Godhead in Jesus is displayed.
It’s all in Him. It’s all
in Him. The fullness of the Godhead is all in Him. It’s all in Him, It’s all in
Him, that Mighty God is Jesus and it’s all in Him.
Thought For Today: Who do you say is the
King of Glory?
