And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory. (1 Timothy 3:16)
Today's Morsel: One of the things I liked about my final job when I was in the army was that I got to travel to any place that soldiers under our command were located to check on their health and welfare and to see how they were doing. We always took small tokens with us, like commander's coins, to motivate them and to let them know that we had not forgotten them. Scripture tells us that the Lord is a man of war (Exodus 15:3), and that He is the Lord of Hosts (1 Samuel 15:2). Paul said, "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory" (1 Timothy 3:16). Therefore, I believe that God came to check up on our welfare, too. For He said, "Let your conversation be without covetousness; and be content with such things as ye have: for he hath said, I will never leave thee, nor forsake thee"
(Hebrews 13:5). Don't ever think that God doesn't care about your welfare. He is always checking on you to encourage you and watch out for your welfare.
Sing: There's not a friend like the lowly Jesus, No not one! No, not one! None else could heal all our soul's diseases, No, not one! No not one!
Jesus knows all about our struggles, He will guide till the day is done; there's not a friend like the lowly Jesus. No, not one! No, not one!
Thought For Today: Know your men and look out for their welfare!
