But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear: Having a good conscience; that, whereas they speak evil of you, as of evildoers, they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in Christ. (1 Peter 3:15-16)
Today's Morsel: There seems to be too many Christian who have troubled conscience. Their minds seem to be plagued about many things. How to do what is right versus wrong, it seems to be so confusing for them. They seem to keep making the wrong choices because of a confused mind. Isaiah lets us know that God would keep us in perfect peace if our minds would stay upon Him (Isaiah 26:3). Peter said that we should have a good conscience. There should be no confusion in the heart and mind of a child of God. Paul lets us know that the peace of God which passeth all understanding will keep your heart and mind. If your conscience isn't clear today, what is bothering you? Have you thought about discussing it with Jesus? "Casting all your care upon him; for he careth for you"(1 Peter 5:7).
Sing: Cast all your cares! Cast all your cares! Cast all your cares, upon Jesus. For he is truly able to help you with them all, so cast all your cares upon Him.
Thought for Today: A troubled conscience means that Jesus is out of place (Parker).
