Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. For by it the elders obtained a good report. Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear. By faith Abel offered unto God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain, by which he obtained witness that he was righteous, God testifying of his gifts: and by it he being dead yet speaketh. By faith Enoch was translated that he should not see death; and was not found, because God had translated him: for before his translation he had this testimony, that he pleased God. But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him. By faith Noah, being warned of God of things not seen as yet, moved with fear, prepared an ark to the saving of his house; by the which he condemned the world, and became heir of the righteousness which is by faith. By faith Abraham, when he was called to go out into a place which he should after receive for an inheritance, obeyed; and he went out, not knowing whither he went. By faith he sojourned in the land of promise, as in a strange country, dwelling in tabernacles with Isaac and Jacob, the heirs with him of the same promise: For he looked for a city which hath foundations, whose builder and maker is God. (Hebrews 11:1-10)
Today's Morsel: When it comes to the things of God, everyone regardless of race, creed, color, national origin., has the same opportunities and the same promises. Scriptures let us know that Isaac and Jacob were heirs of the same promise that God gave to their father Abraham. And not only were they, but you and I are heirs to the promise as well. Paul wrote, "For as many of you as have been baptized into Christ have put on Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus. And if ye be Christ's, then are ye Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise"(Galatians 3:27-29). Every promise that God made to Abraham, if you are born again of the water and the spirit, they are for you today as well. When Jesus told His disciples to tarry in Jerusalem until they were endued with power from on high, He was speaking to them of the Holy Ghost (Luke 24:44-49; Acts 1:4-8). On the Day of Pentecost, Peter said to them, "Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost. For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to all that are afar off, even as many as the Lord our God shall call"(Acts 2:38-39). The promise of God's Spirit is for every life. And not only that, but also all the blessings, the fruit, and the gifts are still for you today as well. "And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end: That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises. For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself, Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee. And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise"(Hebrews 6:11-15). God can't lie, so hang in there and you'll see that He is faithful to His Word and He will fulfill all His promises.
Sing: I believe God! I believe God! That He will do, just as He said, trust and obey, believe Him and say, I believe, I believe God.
If you need salvation now, or the Holy Ghost and power, just trust and obey, believe Him and say, I believe! I believe God!
