2011 November 5 - Morning Manna

Offer the sacrifices of righteousness, and put your trust in the LORD. (Psalms 4:5)

Today's Morsel: I believe that we are living in the times that every man is doing that which is right in his own eyes.  Therefore, as children of God, we must learn to do right and obey God's Word.  Why is there so much compromise with wrong, with political officials?  Do they not know that, "The God of Israel said, the Rock of Israel spake to David, He that ruleth over men must be just, ruling in the fear of God" (2 Samuel 23:3).  Do they not know that"Righteousness exalteth a nation: but sin is a reproach to any people" (Proverbs 14:34).  John said that those who do not do right and love their brother belong to the devil (1 John 3:10).  How do we get a people that is so accustom to doing wrong become righteous?  We lead them back to the altar of repentance so they will know how to do what is right.  John said, "Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous"(1 John 3:7).  God wants His children to do right and trust in Him.  Paul said, "By him therefore let us offer the sacrifice of praise to God continually, that is, the fruit of our lips giving thanks to his name" (Hebrews 13:15).  When we offer the sacrifices of praise, we are doing what is right and God is well pleased.  Don't compromise with wrong, but let's learn to do right. Because we are serving a righteous God.

Sing: Lord, I lift up my hands, standing unashamed, I worship you Father, exalting Your name, You've captured my heart, now my life is changed, I lift up my hands.
