2011 October 29 - Morning Manna

"Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night. And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper. The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away. Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous. For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish."(Psalms 1:1-6)

Today's Morsel: What season would you say that you are in right now?  Let me explain. Summer is hot and muggy; winter is cold and dreary; fall is cool and colorful; and spring is green and growing.  Whether we like it or not, we are in one of these seasons all the time depending on our attitudes.  As born again believers, we should spend the majority of our time being in the Spring or Fall.  Because we are filled with His Spirit  and we trust in Him, we should be colorful and growing.  As Jeremiah informs us, "Blessed is the man that trusteth in the LORD, and whose hope the LORD is. For he shall be as a tree planted by the waters, and that spreadeth out her roots by the river, and shall not see when heat cometh, but her leaf shall be green; and shall not be careful in the year of drought, neither shall cease from yielding fruit." (Jeremiah 17:7-8).  The Psalmist also encourages us that, "The righteous shall flourish like the palm tree: he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon. Those that be planted in the house of the LORD shall flourish in the courts of our God. They shall still bring forth fruit in old age; they shall be fat and flourishing; To shew that the LORD is upright: he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him" (Psalms 92:12-15).  Palm and cedar trees are evergreens, meaning they always show forth life.  Because our source of life comes from the Lord, we should always be living with joy and excitement.  To everything there is a season and a time to every purpose under heaven.

Sing:  It's a new season, it's a new day. A fresh anointing is flowing my way. It's a season of power and prosperity. It's a new season coming to me.
