2011 January 15 - Morning Manna

Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow? or hast thou seen the treasures of the hail, Which I have reserved against the time of trouble, against the day of battle and war? (Job 38:22-23).

Today's Morsel:  Snow!  The beautiful white powdery stuff that comes down one flake at a time that seems like nothing much is happening when it first starts, but within a few hours you can have as much as 10 to 15 inches on the ground before you.  Snow can make it impossible to travel.  Snow can make roadways impassable.  It can ground airplanes and cause people to be stranded and snowbound.  And it all begins with just one flake on another.  The Lord asked Job, "Hast thou entered into the treasures of the snow?" There is something inside of snow.  Purity.  Snow represents holiness.  Holiness makes a person pure and clean.
Paul said, "And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ: Till we all come in the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, unto a perfect man, unto the measure of the stature of the fulness of Christ: That we henceforth be no more children, tossed to and fro, and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the sleight of men, and cunning craftiness, whereby they lie in wait to deceive; But speaking the truth in love, may grow up into him in all things, which is the head, even Christ: From whom the whole body fitly joined together and compacted by that which every joint supplieth, according to the effectual working in the measure of every part, maketh increase of the body unto the edifying of itself in love" (Ephesians 4:11-16).  When saints of God come together in one mind and one accord, we become compacted together and a force to be reckoned with.  The devil fears when saints are compacted together.  The whole body must be fitly joined together in doctrine and truth.  We all come one at a time, but then each one reaches one, and before you know, we are compacted as a mighty army of God and ready for battle.  The enemy of the soul can't defeat a united body of Christ.   Jesus chose twelve, but He began one at a time.  And after three years, multitudes were following Him.  Always remember, "Unity" begins with the letters UNI.  When we come together in Christ, we become one the same as a massive snow fall and it is beautiful in God sights.

Sing:  When the redeemed are gathering in , washed like snow, and free from all sin, how we will shout and how we will sing, when the redeemed are gathering in.
