“Give, and it shall be given unto you; good measure, pressed down, and shaken together, and running over, shall men give into your bosom. For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again” (Luke 6:38).
Today’s Morsel: We often associate Christmas as a time of sharing and giving gifts. The giving of gifts extends back into the Book of Genesis. When a man wanted to marry someone's daughter, he brought gifts to the father. When it comes to giving, many of the principles and practices that we do today are handed down to us from times past; and many are based on biblical principles. The wise men were the ones who brought gifts to Jesus. What is it about gifts? Why do we give gifts at Christmas time? It is a part of sharing with others what we have. There is a principle of giving, as the best gift and the perfect gift comes from a heart that has been touched by God.
Sing: Then entered in, those wise men three, full reverently upon their knee, and offered there in His presence, their gold, and myrrh, and frankincense.

Thought For Today: The best gift and the perfect gift is that which comes from a heart that has been touched by God.
