Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2016 December 21

“And the city had no need of the sun, neither of the moon, to shine in it: for the glory of God did lighten it, and the Lamb is the light thereof”
(Revelation 21:23)

Today's Morsel: Perth Australia is known as the city of lights.  It obtained this name when it turned on its lights for astronaut John Glenn on his space voyage around the earth in 1962.   Each city has a meaning for the name given to it and for its existence.  Many cities are named after some famous explorer or hero, while others are named for their location.  They say that you can learn a lot about the attitude and lifestyle of people based on the city where they live, and who the founder of that city was.  Bethlehem was called the City of Bread, while Jerusalem means the City of Peace."  The New Jerusalem shall be called the City of Lights.

Sing:  This star drew nigh to the northwest over Bethlehem it took its rest, and there it did both stop and stay, right over the place where Jesus lay.
Noel, Noel, Noel, Noel, born is the King of Israel.

Thought For Today:  Are you seeking for the light?
