Be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:6-7)
Today's Morsel: Henry Ward Beecher said, "It's not work that kills men, it is worry." Why do so many people worry about things that they have no control over. We can't control the weather. We can't control what other people do. We can't control airlines, trains, and transportation delays; and we for sure can't control death. So why do we worry about all these things. We should only be concerned about the things that we can control. Like our attitudes, our actions, and our eternal salvation. Paul said, "We should be careful for nothing; but in every thing by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known unto God. And the peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus." So let me encourage you today, don't sweat the small stuff. Just keep your focus on those things you can control and you will be at peace with yourself.
Sing: Many things about tomorrow, I don't seem to understand, but I know who holds tomorrow and I know who holds my hand.
Thought for Today: "It is not work that kills men, it is worry." Henry Ward Beecher.
