“And he spake a parable unto them to this end, that men ought always to pray, and not to faint; Saying, There was in a city a judge, which feared not God, neither regarded man: And there was a widow in that city; and she came unto him, saying, Avenge me of mine adversary. And he would not for a while: but afterward he said within himself, Though I fear not God, nor regard man; Yet because this widow troubleth me, I will avenge her, lest by her continual coming she weary me. And the Lord said, Hear what the unjust judge saith. And shall not God avenge his own elect, which cry day and night unto him, though he bear long with them? I tell you that he will avenge them speedily. Nevertheless when the Son of man cometh, shall he find faith on the earth?” (Luke 18:1-8)
Today’s Morsel: Prayer is essential to every Christian life. As the bumper sticker states, “Seven days without prayer makes one weak.” If you do not have a consistent prayer life, you will be weak spiritually and not able to endure trials, hardships, and the test of life. Satan isn’t too concerned with saints who do not pray, nor those who have no time to gather with other saints to pray. He will just wait patiently for the appropriate time and then destroy them. But those who are consistent in their prayer life, God will avenge his own elect, those who cry day and night to Him, Jesus said. Keep your prayer life fresh. It’s your means of communications with heaven.
Sing: Whisper a prayer in the morning; whisper a prayer at noon; whisper a prayer in the evening. Keep your heart in tune.
Thought For Today: The more you pray the more you’ll stay.
