Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 December 9

“Therefore the redeemed of the LORD shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.”  (Isaiah 51:11)

Today’s Morsel:  If you will notice, Christmas is always expressed with joy, happiness, gladness, and anticipation. We see smiles and songs on people faces that we may not see other times.  Isaiah said that the redeemed of the Lord shall come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their head: they shall obtain gladness and joy; and sorrow and mourning shall flee away.  Those of us who are born again should realize that we are the redeemed of the Lord and God’s fruit of joy should always show on our countenance, and we should share that joy.  His joy is associated with gladness and excitement.  Where there is His joy, sorrow and mourning will flee away.  This season, and every season, share His joy with everyone you meet.

Sing:  Joy to the world!  The Lord is come; let earth receive her King.  Let every heart prepare Him room, and heaven and nature sing; and heaven and nature sing and heaven, and heaven, and nature sing.

Thought For Today: The joy of the Lord is your strength.
