2011 June 2 - Morning Manna

But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father.
(Ephesians 2:13-18)

Today's Morsel:  When we were  missionaries living in Japan, we befriended a young lady from Mongolia.  And when we would visit Mongolia, we would visit with her family who lived in a western-style home instead of a "Ger", the Mongolian homes made like a round tent.  This young lady told us that she did not like living in their new home as much as the Ger, because it had walls and  she couldn't always see her mother and that she felt separated from her.  Inside of the Ger there are no rooms or walls, it's just one open space and thus everyone can see each other and she said that you are more connected as a family.
Paul said that Jesus Christ has broken down the middle wall of partition between us.  There should now be no divisions between us when it comes to the church.  If we have been born again of the water and the Spirit no matter the race, creed, national origin, or language we are to all be one in Christ .  Paul further said, "For this cause I bow my knees unto the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, Of whom the whole family in heaven and earth is named" (Ephesians 3:14-15).  One thing I've learned about the Gospel is that it breaks down walls that divides.  If there is a wall between you and anyone else in your church, what was in the Gospel you received?  The Gospel of Jesus Christ reconciles us to each other.   Don't allow the enemy to cause you to build walls within your home or church, because the person on the other side of that wall needs you just as much as you need them.  If you disagree,  ask for forgiveness, because if you build a wall, the enemy of your soul will help you build yet another one.

Sing: Let me live close to Thee, guide me all along the way; Let me live close to Thee, let me walk close to Thee each day.
