Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2025 July 23

How Do You Treat Others?

“Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. For he that soweth to his flesh shall of the flesh reap corruption; but he that soweth to the Spirit shall of the Spirit reap life everlasting. And let us not be weary in well doing: for in due season we shall reap, if we faint not. As we have therefore opportunity, let us do good unto all men, especially unto them who are of the household of faith.” (Galatians 6:7-10)

Today’s Morsel: I was reading an article a few months ago, and it said that many children want nothing to do with their parents when they become elderly. The report said that many siblings are divided because neither wants to help with their elderly parents’ care. As I read that report, I asked myself, do they not know that if the Lord tarries, they themselves will one day be elderly and that they will reap what they sow. No matter if they have all the finances in the world to place themselves in the best senior living facility ever, there will be those who will not care for them how they would like. We reap what we sow, even in our latter years. Paul said that as we have opportunity to do good, we ought to do good to all people, but especially to those who are of the household of faith. Christian’s ought to care for Christians. But sad to say, most churches do not care for each other. There ought to be follow-up, visits, cards sent expressing love, encouragement given, and words of edification. How do you treat others? Always remember, you reap what you sow.

Sing: You’re my brother, you’re my sister, so take me by the hand, together we will work until He comes; There’s not foe that can defeat us when we’re walking side by side; As long as there is love we can stand.

Thought For Today: “And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.” (1 Corinthians 13:2)
