Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 30 June 2021

This Dog Is Gonna Bark

His watchmen are blind: they are all ignorant, they are all dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber. Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand: they all look to their own way, every one for his gain, from his quarter.(Isaiah 56:10-11)

Today’s Morsel:  People get dogs for many reasons, but often it is for companionship and protection.  Yet sad to say when the dog is giving warning the owners want them to be quiet.  The Lord said that 'His watchmen are blind, dumb dogs, they cannot bark; sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.  Yea, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough, and they are shepherds that cannot understand.'  But this dog is gonna bark. This dog is here to let you know that -

·        If you are not living a holy and righteous life, you are not going to heaven.

·        Everyone that dies does not go to heaven.

·        If your lifestyle is not in accordance with the word of God, do not expect to enter the pearly gates.

Paul puts it plainly when he says, “For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is enmity against God: for it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But ye are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8:6-9); "Follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.” (Hebrews 12:14) and Jesus says, “Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity.” (Matthew 7:21-23); There were present at that season some that told him of the Galilaeans, whose blood Pilate had mingled with their sacrifices. And Jesus answering said unto them, Suppose ye that these Galilaeans were sinners above all the Galilaeans, because they suffered such things? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish. Or those eighteen, upon whom the tower in Siloam fell, and slew them, think ye that they were sinners above all men that dwelt in Jerusalem? I tell you, Nay: but, except ye repent, ye shall all likewise perish.” (Luke 13:1-5)   This dog is gonna bark - Either get right or you are gonna get left behind!

Sing: I’m getting ready to leave this place, I’m getting ready for those gates of pearls, keeping my record right, watching both day and night well.  I'm getting ready to leave this place.

Thought For  Today: “But know this, that if the goodman of the house had known in what watch the thief would come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken up. Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:43-44)
