The Revelation of Truth

“And Samuel grew, and the LORD was with him, and did let none of his words fall to the ground. And all Israel from Dan even to Beersheba knew that Samuel was established to be a prophet of the LORD. And the LORD appeared again in Shiloh: for the LORD revealed himself to Samuel in Shiloh by the word of the LORD.” (1 Samuel 3:19-21)

Today’s Morsel: One of the greatest miracles you will ever discover is the revelation of who God is. This question has so plagued many that many have walked away from God because they just don’t know who He is. But Paul admonishes: “But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them.” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4) Satan does not want you to know who God is. He knows that if he can keep you blinded to the truth, you will never come into a full revelation as to who Jesus Christ is and who you are in Him. John wrote Jesus as saying: “Search the scriptures; for in them ye think ye have eternal life: and they are they which testify of me.” (John 5:39). He continues by writing: “That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life; (For the life was manifested, and we have seen it, and bear witness, and shew unto you that eternal life, which was with the Father, and was manifested unto us;)” (1 John 1:1-2) “And we know that the Son of God is come, and hath given us an understanding, that we may know him that is true, and we are in him that is true, even in his Son Jesus Christ. This is the true God, and eternal life.” (1 John 5:20) Scripture says that God revealed himself to Samuel by His word. If you have a Bible, God has handed you His word to reveal to you who He is. You cannot take man’s word for it. You must search the scriptures for yourself and allow God to reveal himself to you as He did to the woman at the well. “The woman saith unto him, I know that Messias cometh, which is called Christ: when he is come, he will tell us all things. Jesus saith unto her, I that speak unto thee am he.” (John 4:25-26) The truth will not only make you free, but it will also open your understanding to that truth.  “And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory.” (1 Timothy 3:16)

“He saith unto them, But whom say ye that I am?” (Matthew 16:15)

Sing: He’s the Great I Am, the Everlasting Father, He’s the Price of Peace, the Great Eternal Wonder, Holy Counselor, and Zion’s Righteous Governor, He’s the Great, He’s the Great I Am.
