Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2025 October 25

What Is God Doing With Your Hands

“And God wrought special miracles by the hands of Paul: So that from his body were brought unto the sick handkerchiefs or aprons, and the diseases departed from them, and the evil spirits went out of them.” (Acts 19:11-12)

Today’s Morsel: Since Covid, some folks are even afraid to shake hands with people. Everywhere we turn we see hand sanitizer, signs saying wash your hands, put your hands over your mouth when you cough or sneeze. But what do you do if they do that just before you walk up and then they want to shake your hand? (Humor) Scriptures said that the Lord worked special miracles by the hands of Paul. What is God doing with your hands? Is He working special miracles by your hands.  “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature. He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned. And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.” (Mark 16:15-18) If you never put your hand out and take someone else’s, or you never lay your hands on the sick and pray for them, or you never offer a hand to someone in need, or you never put your hand to the plough, or you never shake someone’s hand, you may never see the special miracles you want to see God work in your life. God will work if we get self out of the way.

Sing: Take my hand precious Lord, lead me on let me stand; I am tired, I am weak, I am worn. Through the storm, through the night, lead me on to the light;, take my hand, precious Lord and lead me home.

Thought For Today: “Then Peter said, Silver and gold have I none; but such as I have give I thee: In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth rise up and walk. And he took him by the right hand, and lifted him up: and immediately his feet and ankle bones received strength.” (Acts 3:6-7)
