Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 December 20

“For with thee is the fountain of life: in thy light shall we see light”
(Psalms 36:9).

Today’s Morsel:  From the creation, the first thing that God said was, “Let there be light: and there was light” (Genesis 1:3).  God knew that we needed light to get us out of darkness.  Sin is always associated with darkness, and Jesus came to save us from our sins, or should I say, get us out of darkness and bring us into His marvelous light (1 Peter 2:9).  David said, "In thy light shall we see light."  He further states, “Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Psalms 119:105).  If we do not look in the Word, the perfect law of liberty, we cannot see nor understand the light.  Jesus said, “I am the light of the world: he that followeth me shall not walk in darkness, but shall have the light of life” (John 8:12).  Do you need an understanding of Christmas?  Then look in the light, the word, and you will see the true meaning and the reason for the Light.

Sing:  Light of the world, You stepped down into darkness, Opened my eyes, let me see.  Beauty that made this heart adore You, Hope of my life spent with You.

And here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down, Here I am to say that You're my God.  You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy; Altogether wonderful to me.

King of all days, Oh, so highly exalted, glorious in heaven above.  Humbly You came to the earth You created, all for love's sake became poor.

And here I am to worship, Here I am to bow down, Here I am to say that You're my God.  You're altogether lovely, altogether worthy; Altogether wonderful to me.

Thought For Today:  In His light shall we see light.
