Morning Manna by Rufus Parker - 2017 December 19

“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved” (John 3:16-17).

Today’s Morsel:  Jesus said that one of the major reasons for His coming into the world was that the world through Him might be saved (John 3:17).  More than anything else, Christmas should offer people a chance to know and receive eternal life.  Christmas is more than gifts, sweets, and presents.  It’s an opportunity for life.  God has given to us a gift that no one else can give.  That is the gift of eternal life through Jesus Christ.  If we will accept His gift, we can have a life free from worry, loneliness, turmoil, and unrest.  If you will accept His gift, your life can be made whole.

Sing: In this house there is hope.  In this house, there’s salvation for your soul.  In this house, your life can be made whole.  Everything you need is in this house.

Thought For Today:  Eternal life is only found in Christ.
