2011 April 21 - Morning Manna

For the grace of God that bringeth salvation hath appeared to all men, Teaching us that, denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ; Who gave himself for us, that he might redeem us from all iniquity, and purify unto himself a peculiar people, zealous of good works. These things speak, and exhort, and rebuke with all authority. Let no man despise thee. (Titus 2:11-15)

Today's Morsel:  What is your understanding of Grace?  How does Grace save us?  The Greek word here for grace is "Charis," which means the divine influence upon the heart, and its reflection in the life; including gratitude.  Paul said that the grace of God hath appeared to all men.  The Gospel, which points out God’s infinite mercy to the world, is termed the grace of God; for it is not only a favor of infinite worth in itself, but it announces that greatest gift of God to man, the incarnation and atoning sacrifice of Jesus Christ.  Peter said that neither is there salvation in any other (Acts 4:12).  This Gospel teaches us that denying ungodliness and worldly lusts, we should live soberly, righteously, and godly, in this present world; Looking for that blessed hope, and the glorious appearing of the great God and our Saviour Jesus Christ.  God's grace pardons and cleanses within.  How much of His grace is reflected in your life?  The determining factor if you relish God's grace, is how you feel about it on the inside and what you show to others on the outside.  So how does grace save us?  Look to Calvary.

Sing: Grace! Grace! God's grace.  Grace that will pardon and cleanse within.  Grace ! Grace! God's grace.  Grace that is greater than all our sins.
